Members of the Gestalt community, both in Britain and overseas, are warmly encouraged to submit material for publication. We are looking to publish:
- Good-quality writing reflecting the diversity within the evolving Gestalt communities
- Articles ranging from the rigorously theoretical to the profoundly personal that are contactful and informative
- Contributions arising out of reflective practice that inform and develop Gestalt theory
- Experimental forms of writing that reflect the dialogic and process orientation of Gestalt practice.
Material may be submitted in the form of articles, reports, interviews, reviews, news, and information on all aspects of Gestalt theory and related applications.
Submissions must be in English and neither have been published nor are being considered for publication elsewhere. Consultative assistance is normally available from one of the editorial team, in the pre-submission stage of writing, particularly for those with little experience of writing for journals of this type. As well as established authors we welcome submissions from new writers. We aim to represent the diversity within the Gestalt community in the range of material we publish.
To submit a manuscript, send an e-mail to editor@britishgestaltjournal.com with the manuscript as a Microsoft Word attachment (2003 or earlier compatible, please). Please be patient as the refereeing process takes some time.
Usually, upon acceptance of the manuscript, there are further small tasks to complete. It is far easier if you have followed the house style of the BGJ, including abstract, keywords, references, author’s biographical note and contact details, etc.
The editor cannot guarantee that a manuscript accepted for publication will be published in any particular issue of the journal.
