For experienced practitioners, trainers and supervisors.
A supportive group for developing ideas and getting started with Gestalt-informed writing.
Facilitated by Christine Stevens and Bridie Squires.
British Gestalt Journal is interested in supporting established practitioners to write about their work in a Gestalt-informed way, ultimately with the aim of publication. There is however no commitment on the part of the BGJ to publish any work that might develop out of this group; some work might develop into book form, articles suited to other publications, or not be for publication, but be experimental pieces or part of the writer's own personal development.
The plan is for us to meet Friday and Saturday 11 & 12 March online, with a view to potentially meeting in person later in the year when Covid risk is likely to be lower. We will meet at 10.00am to introduce ourselves and our writing interests. This will be followed by some creative writing practice to get us going along with discussion and feedback. After lunch we will reconnect and then use time for the development in writing of plans, outlines, drafts, etc. We will come together to finish the day reflectively. On Saturday, each participant will be given their own amount of time to share what they have written, or to talk in depth about their ideas, or whatever is most useful for them at that time, with support and feedback from the rest of the group. Before we close, each participant will have identified how they will take their writing project forward, and identified resources and support they will access to help them do this. A date for a further meeting will be discussed. A CPD certificate will be available if required.
The fee for both days is £150, which, after expenses, will be used to support the future development of the BGJ.
