BGJ Writing Academy | Writing Residential

Overview

Join us for two days of writing, connection and inspiration at the BGJ Writing Academy Writing Residential!

An in-person 2-day residential workshop in Nottingham for therapists and trainees (and adjacent practitioners) who are interested in writing. We will make space for your writing wherever you're at. You'll be supported to take your writing project further and explore tools that can bring you closer to publication.

Friday 27th to Saturday 28th March 2026

Facilitators Christine Stevens (Editor) and Dora Darvasi (Deputy Editor)

  • Bring your own writing project

  • Develop your writing process and style

  • Explore and deepen your subjects of interest

  • Meet other practitioner writers

  • Develop a support infrastructure for your writing

  • 12hr CPD (Certificates provided)

Limited places.

Residential information

Timings:
Friday: 11am – 6pm
Saturday: 10am – 5pm

Catering:
Catering includes two lunches and an evening meal on Friday. Tea / coffee and snacks throughout.

Accommodation is not included. Two rooms are available at Malvern House for a reasonable fee on a first come first served basis. Please, get in touch. Alternatively, there is a selection of Airbnb options nearby or there is a hotel 5 minutes away called Mercure Nottingham Sherwood Hotel (296 Mansfield Rd, Nottingham NG5 2BT).

BGJ Writing Academy – a new initiative

We are launching a new collective for Gestalt practitioners and trainees who want to refine their writing skills, work towards publication, and belong to a supportive writing circle.

We will be offering online day courses and writing labs as well as in-person workshops and residentials to nurture your craft, grow your confidence and to support the emergence and contribution of your unique writing voice within and beyond the Gestalt community.
